About Accommodation

What time is check-in/check-out?
Check-in: 5:00PM – 0:00AM / Check-out: before 12:00AM

*Please be sure to check the information on your reservation plan,
as check-in and check-out times may be specified differently for each plan.
*Please contact us in advance if your expected arrival is later than 24:00.
*You can use the common areas even before check-in.

Can I check in early or check out late?
【Early check-in】
Early check-in is not guaranteed, as it depends on the situation on the day of check-in.
We can store your luggage at the front desk before check-in.

【Late check-out】
Late check-out is available up until 13:00 for a fee.
Please note that this service is subject to room availability.
Hideout Suites: 3,000 yen per hour

Can I leave my luggage before check-in/after check-out?
You can leave your luggage free of charge both before check-in
and after check-out during front desk opening hours (7:00~24:00).
What is the cleaning policy during my stay?
We will do a simple cleaning every day after 12:00.
We will replenish amenities, clean the floor, and place dishes on the draining mat after use.
For environmental reasons, linen change and cleaning of the bathrooms are only available once every three nights.
What amenities are provided?
Toothbrush / skincare set / razor / hairbrush / slippers / shampoo /
conditioner / body soap / hand soap / bath towel / face towel /
bath mat and pajamas are provided in guest rooms.
Free rental items (Japanese yukata / iron / ironing board / adapter / battery charger /
shoe dryer / humidifier / air purifier / extension cord / umbrella / scale / kettle / clothesline / table lamp) are available.
Please note that the number of these items is limited.
What cooking utensils are provided in the kitchen?
The following cooking utensils and seasonings are provided
Frying pans / pots / bowls / strainer / chopsticks / ladle / spatula / tongs / kitchen scissors / peeler /
cutting board / kitchen knife / wine opener / ice pail
Salt / pepper / salad oil
Do you have Internet access?
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Smoking in the hotel
Smoking is prohibited in all rooms.
Failure to comply will result in a 30,000-yen penalty fee.
Smoking areas are located near the entrance on the first floor.
Is there a curfew?
There is no curfew, but for security reasons,
the entrance is automatically locked after 24:00 until 6:30 the next morning.
When you return to the building, you can unlock the door by tapping your room key on the sensor at the entrance.
Are wheelchair-accessible rooms available?
Wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available in the Hideout Suites. Please inquire for details.
How can I invite a friend who is not staying at the hotel to my room?
Guests who reserve the “Guests Plan” may invite outside friends to spend time in their rooms.
Please make sure that the total number of guests and invited guests are within the maximum number of occupancy.
Please be sure to inform the front desk when you arrive and leave the building, and please leave the building before 24:00.
“Maximum number of guests staying in the room” and “maximum occupancy”
The “maximum number of guests staying in the room”
is the maximum number of people who can spend the night in a room.
The “maximum occupancy” is the maximum number of people that can be in a room.
Can invited guests use the Club Lounge?
Invited guests can also use the Club Lounge.
Until what time can my invited guests stay in my room?
We ask that outside guests leave the hotel by 24:00.
Please be sure to let the front desk know when leaving the hotel.

About Reservations

Cancellation Policy
-Up to 3 days prior to check-in: No cancellation fee
-2 days prior to the day of arrival or no-show: 100% of the total room charge
*Please note that the cancellation policy may differ depending on the reservation site or plan.

In addition, for groups the following cancellation fees apply:
・Standard Rooms: Reservations of 10 or more persons
・Hideout Suites: Reservations of 5 or more rooms
– Up to 15 days prior to check-in: No cancellation fee
– 14 days to 8 days prior: 20% of the total room charge
– 7 days to 3 days prior: 50% of the total room charge
– 2 days prior to the day of arrival or no-show: 100% of the total room charge

Kyoto City Accommodation Tax
An accommodation tax has been introduced by Kyoto City ordinance.
Please be advised that you will be charged the accommodation tax based on the room rate.

The following accommodation taxes apply based on the room rate per person per night:
-The room rate is less than 20,000 yen: 200 yen (per person per night)
-The room rate is 20,000 yen or more but less than 50,000 yen: 500 yen (per person per night)
-The room rate is more than 50,000 yen: 1,000 yen (per person per night)

*The room tax is not included in the room rate displayed at the time of reservation,
and must be paid upon arrival.

Can minors stay?
Yes, minors are welcome to stay at the hotel.
However, if you are under 18 years old, you will need to present a parental consent form.

What is the accommodation policy for children?
Children under 5 years old may stay free of charge.
Please exclude any children under 5 years old from the number of guests.
(We may ask to confirm the age of your children upon arrival.)
Do you have a waiting list?
We unfortunately do not have a waiting list.
If someone cancels their reservation, it will be automatically reflected on our website,
so we recommend that you visit our website regularly.

About Hotel Services

May I bring books from the bookshelves in the common areas to my room?
Books in the lounge on the 8th floor of Hideout Suites can be brought into your room.
Books from the TUNE STAY KYOTO bookshop can only be brought into your room after purchase. Please do not bring
unpurchased books outside the common area, into your room or the kitchen area on the basement floor.
Is there a laundromat?
There are four washing machines and four dryers in the laundromat.
The washing machines charge 300 yen per time (detergent is automatically added)
and the dryers charge 100 yen per 10 minutes.
The laundromat is available 24 hours a day.
Is there a parking lot or bicycle parking lot?
We are sorry that there is no car parking or bicycle parking available at the hotel.
We do not offer any discounts on parking fees either.
Is there a telephone in the guest room?
There is no telephone in the guestrooms.

Can I send a parcel or suitcase by courier in advance?
Please send your parcel or suitcase to the hotel,
indicating the date of your stay and the name of the person who made the reservation.
Please read the following instructions before sending.
*Please inform us in advance of the expected arrival date of your luggage and your check-in date.
*We will receive your luggage from 2 days prior to your check-in date until the day of check-out.
For luggage received less than 3 days prior to check-in or from the day after check-out,
an additional storage fee of 600 yen/day will be charged.
We do not accept payment on delivery.
We do not provide luggage delivery service to your room. Please come to the front desk to pick up your luggage.
